Parents of children, who will be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2022, and not currently enrolled in a Ladd preschool class are asked to come to the school office to register their children. It is not necessary for children to come this day. To register, parents must bring proof of residency in the Ladd school district and a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate. Proof of residency can be established by submitting mortgage or lease papers and two of the following items: a driver’s license, vehicle registration, voter’s registration, a utility bill or an insurance premium receipt. A certified birth certificate can be obtained from the County Clerk of the county in which the child was born. A hospital certificate is not acceptable. Each child must have a health exam including a lead screening, a dental exam, and an eye exam completed by October. Parents are reminded to schedule medical appointments early. It is important that students are registered. If parents/guardians are unable to register on April 7, they need to contact the school office.
