Beginning on September 18th, the Ladd Public Library will be holding a Game Night for adults 18 or older on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 4-8pm! Make plans with your family or friends to come as a group or just drop in to see if there is a game going with room for another player. No registration is required. Walk-ins are welcome and players are expected to come and go as fits their schedule.
Generally seating and games availability is first-come first-served but arrangements for a large group or specific game can be requested in advance. Please stop by or call us at 815-894-3254. We’ll do our best to accommodate you.
We currently have five tables with seating for four players plus one table with seating for two. When not already in use, tables can be combined for larger groups.
We currently have both regular and large print playing cards, Uno, Skip-Bo, Phase 10, Mille Bornes, Rook, Cribbage, Rack-O, Mexican Train Dominoes and Apples to Apples available to play. If your favorite isn’t on this list, bring your own game along to enjoy. And as always, puzzles and adult coloring materials are also available.
Snacks and beverages will be provided for players (a $5 donation is suggested to cover their cost). Alternately, please feel free to supply your own snacks and beverages in covered unbreakable containers.
The Ladd Public Library will be open for business to both players and the public on Game Night. It’s a great opportunity to get or use your library card and make suggestions or recommendations to your librarian on ways to make Game Night more enjoyable such as a great game to add to our collection.
